Oh for F*CKS SAKE...is Britney performing or not?

This has become completely absurd; rumor has it again that Britney Spears will in fact be part of  MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday to kick off the show.

Spears said, "MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs?"

Larry Rudolph, her manager’s lips are still warm from saying "officially and unequivocally" untrue to the rumors of her performing the VMA's.

Well, now it's official: Britney will appear at Sunday's VMAs, which take place at Paramount Studios in Hollywood and begin at 9 p.m. ET. Although the pop star will not be performing, she will open the show.

Performing, lip synching, dancing in underwear while being molested by gay back up dancers... what ever the case may be, it's all hype for a huge disappointment.
