Sydney Pollack died of cancer yesterday

Oscar winning film director, producer and sometimes actor Sydney Pollack, died on Monday, Memorial Day of stomach cancer. He was 73. Among his family and friends, one of which was George Clooney where he starred oposite Sydney in the movie Michael Clayton (pictured above) pays tribute to the late director.

Pollack co-produced  Michael Clayton and received seven Oscar nominations; Clooney said “Sydney made the world a little better, movies a little better and even dinner a little better. A tip of the hat to a class act.”
